using XML-RPC apis

I'm trying to query my Antville installation from a perl script (for testing and purposes) using the Net::Blogger module and the Moveabletype api function calls. However I can't seem to figure out what value to enter for the "blogid" parameter. I can't find any values in the database for the different sites that work and I consistently only get the error message: "The site [some number] doesn't exist on this server. at ....."

At the very least it would be helpful if someone could point me to the documentation regarding using XML-RPC and Antville since as of yet I have been unable to find it.
