Very Basic Newbie Question
... from an "oldie".
What is the main purpose of the link for the download to antville? I never really noticed it before. Is it for use only by those who are going to run antville on a server? If not for that reason, could someone explain it to me please? (Be easy on me - I am learning all "this" coding on my own and never had classes or a direct method of learning how to use html, ftp, templates, etc. In fact, I am hoping to learn more about the RSS feeds and the use of CSS - but at present it is the antville blog I presently have that I am trying to clean up.

Yepp. Nothing for those who only want to use blogs at antville.org. BUT: It's quite cool to have a local antville installation on your own pc to test layouts und custom changes in your templates. It's just easy to install antville e.g. on windows computers with antclick, a pre-configured package with helma, antville and a webserver. If you've already installed java, all you need is click...

Not just for testing layouts... have a look at an article (Telepolis) and cop's
request.
click
...could anyone translate the article (Telepolis) to english...
It looks like a good article to spread the word...
tks.
btw: I already try altavista but I don't understand the translation.

Go to http://www.altavista.com and you will see the tool appear for "translate". When you click on it you have the option to enter up to 150 words in a text box OR you can enter the URL for the whole page to be translated. That's how I read the blogs that are in German as I must translate from German to English. BTW, I really enjoy so many of the antville blogs, keep up the good work!
