New entry, old question?
Is it possible to send an eMail to all subscribers of a weblog if a new story has been added to the site? I know there was discussion about it, but perhaps someone is able to tell me in simple words if and how to implement this feature. I´m planning to create a non-public weblog for me and some friends to post private things, but most of these people are not online day and night, so this kind of notification would be the best way to keep them informed.

i contributed some email notification scripts to the antville code and, apparently, this feature will be part of one of the next releases.
however, even if this code will be installed here on antville.org it is up to the guys in vienna to enable email notification, because sending out thousands of emails a day may cause a load and a bandwidth problem.
