would be nice to have a checkbox where readers can decide on themselves whether links should open in a new window or not. any possibility to set this option (target="_blank") for all link tags? (like this)

there isn't such a macro, if you were looking for one. but i am sure you can simply grab an appropriate javascript function from one of the pages including such a checkbox...
